Khwaza Garib Nawaz

Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishty(R.A) occupies a prominent place among the spiritual Healers of the world. Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishty (R.A.) popularly know as Khwaja Gharib Nawaz (R.A.) was born in 1142 A.D. in Sanjar (Iran). His paternal genealogy is related to Hazrat lmam Hussain (A.S.) and that of his matemal to Hazrat Imam Hassan (A. S.) and thus he is a direct descendant of Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (S.A.W.)
In his temperament as in the circumstance of his life Khwaja Sahib was destined for an extra ordinary career.Into a tottering civilization, fraught with material acquisition, which guaranteed no safety to human life and which conferred no spiritual freedom on human beings he burst forth all the masterful force of his personality, There is a complete blending of greatness and grace, mediation and action precept, practice, indifference of the mystic and idealism of a Saint. He is a
SYMBOL OF LOVE, HARMONY AND PEACE. The sources of this power may be traced to his own exceptional endowments.Throughout his life, he exhibited the noble traits of character so peculiar to the house of Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W) to which he belonged. His Shrine in Ajmer sharif is an important religious institution which for centuries has been attracting pilgrims from all over the world, irrespective of caste and creed. It is a symbol of humanity, national and emotional integration in the whole world. He interpreted the true Islamic message of love for mankind and through that the love for the Almighty Allah. He preached the Message of Islam, the message of the unity of religion and worked out its potentialities for the whole humanity. He laid the foundation of the liberal Chishtya order of sufis in India, and inspired millions of souls to be his followers and thus enlightened the masses of the Indian Sub-continent with the divine knowledge.

Sufism

Genesis of Tasawwuf:

“It is the privilege of the men of God to see the sublimest mysteries of the spiritual world and instruct men in Righteousness; they warn and shield men against evil.” - The Holy Quran

“Tasawwuf or Sufism - the Islamic mysticism - means scrupulously maintained moral character and religious discipline which one must necessarily cultivate and observe towards all the creatures of God in the interests of peace and happiness of mankind.”- Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishty (R.A.)

Jacques de Marquette remarks in his introduction to Comparative Mysticism : ‘In fact mysticism seems to be able to solve most of the dilemmas confronting our generation in nearly all the avenues of thought and activities. Hence the timely character of our attempt to study its modalities and to interpret whatever message it may have in store for puzzled modern man’ (P. 18). Much the same is the raison d’ etre for this study : the relevance of Sufism to the needs of modern society.

Mysticism, it is said, has no genealogy. It is as old as man himself and echoes the eternal quest of the human soul to have direct experience of the Ultimate Reality. It proceeds on the assumption that ‘The divine disclosed itself in the human race as a whole’ and that it is possible for all human beings – irrespective of their caste, colour or creed – to have direct communion with Him. The spark of divine love shines alike in the heart of the learned and the illiterate, the Hindu, the Christian, the Muslim and the Sikh. It is not the exclusive privilege of higher religious intellects to strive to understand the essence of Divine Reality; a shepherd also, as Rumi has shown, may communicate with God while grazing his herd in the lonely valleys.

Ali, the Wali Allah:
According to Islamic ideology as Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the seal of prophets and there would not be any prophet after him so the prophet designated Ali as his spirituial vicegerant at Ghadir-e-Kuhm on the pious occasion of Hajjatul-wada (The last pilgrimage of the prophet) and the prophet caught hold of Ali’s arm and raising it up high said “MANKUN TO MOULAHO FA HAZA ALIYUN MOULAHO, ALLAHHUMMA WA LY MANWALAHO WA ADE MAN ADAHO”.
(whoever takes me as his Maula (Master) should also take this Ali as his Maula. O Allah ! be a friend to his friends and foe to his foes.” According to Hazrat Shaikh Ahmed Sirhindi Naqsbandi Mujaddid-e-Alf-e-Sani, Ali was designated as SHAH-E-WILAYAT-E-KUBRA (Qutbiyat-e-Kubra) by Allah since the day of the beginning of creation. (letter no. 134, Maktubat-e-Shaikh Ahmed Sirhindi, Vol.3).
Hazrat Imam Ali is unanimously acclaimed by the Sufis as the founder of their sect because he combined mystical intuition with the firmest grasp of Islamic theology, the traditions of the Sufis depict him as “Wali Allah” (friend of God) and ascribe to him esoteric spiritual powers. They maintain that the highest aim of knowledge, as preached by Ali, is the awakening of latent spiritual faculties. They hold that if a person follows certain “Tariaqas”, or “Paths”, as laid down by their Saint of Saints, he will be enabled to discover his true and inner self. To this inner self, God will reveal Himself, while the self will disappear in the vision of the All-Absorbing Reality.
Ali, the Prince of Saints:
The Sufis look Ali as the founder of that knowledge of "Tasawwuf" which harmonises the mystical, moral and intellectual approaches to Reality. They call the period when he was Caliph, "The Sufistic epoch" and speak with intense pride of the way in which his spiritual intuitions re-inforced the doctrine of "Tauheed" (monotheism); and of how, by his personal example, Ali illumined the way in which the struggles of a man in this world can fulfill the covenant between the created and the Creator.
The Need of Spiritual Director:
The Sufis from time immemorial have recognized the necessity of a “Shaikh” or “Pir” or “Spiritual Director” to whom humanity may be entrusted for guidance and instruction. Staunch obedience was to be offered to this director, who was supposed to possess topmost Spiritual powers and to be well acquainted with all the paths of “Tariqat”. The disciple was required to remain with him for a number of years until he had familiarised himself with ‘mystic’ experiences and could himself graduate as a leader.
Since Ali possessed a noble, religious and philanthropic spirit to the highest degree, the Sufi recognize in him their first Spiritual Director; it was he who showed the way to eternal bliss. They hold that if Muhammad (may peace be upon him) was the seal of Prophets, Ali the spiritual sovereign of all the Sufi denomination was, undoubtedly, the seal of Saints. Without intercession of Hazrat Ali no saint can attain the degree of Wilayat and Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishty (R.A.) is direct descendant of Hazrat Ali (Alehissalam)
The quintessence of Sufi teachings is service to humanity regardless of caste, creed, colour, of faith. The Sufis believe, al khalq-o-ayalullah, meaning that the whole creation is the ‘family of God’. Love of God is not complete without loving his ayal (family). The Sufis believe that true worship is not in the performance of rites, rituals and supererogation. True worship is in the service of humanity. As Shaikh Saadi says:

Ibadat bajuz khidmat-e-khalq neest Ba tasbih-o-sajjadah-o-dalq neest
Without service of humanity, prayer means nothing It is not counting beads, sitting on the mat Or wearing tatters.
S.M. Zaman's 'Role of Social Service and Women in Sufism.' On the question of Khidma, says Zaman, the Sufi manuals are full of instructions and injunctions to be observed in providing service in Ribats to Muslims as well as non-Muslims. It was the single factor
Most responsible for making Sufism a strong force for the propagation of Islam. Thus humanism helped the Muslim saints in India and the basic character of its composite society. For them India was neither dar-ul-Harb nor dar-ul-Islam. It was God's earth with variety of men, and stores of wisdom, a land where Adam and Eve first walked and where the Prophets Shis and Ayyub lay buried. Sayyid Jalaluddin Bukhari Mukhdum-I-Jahanian once said:
So many gifts of God and such a variety of men and Treasures of knowledge as one finds specifically in India Are not to be found anywhere else in the whole world.
For both Vedanta and Sufism, there is a common discipline. It includes purification of self, mastering of passions and desires,
filling of the mind exclusively with the thought of God, obtaining control over bodily functions and mental processes till the objective world ceases to distract consciousness, till man passes away (fana/nirvana) from phenomenal existence and attains union with the divine. The soul stands self-enlightened and unperturbed by temptations and apprehensions.
The Sufis were held in high esteem among the masses who followed their simple teachings with eagerness and understanding. They laid stress upon the dignity of man, for they thought that every individual should reach the highest goal of human life by his own effort.
This essential unity of India has manifested itself in a beautiful synthesis of music and dance, drama and painting, literary and philosophical discourses which are also indicative of the rich and varied Indian panorama. Love of humanity is the key to the understanding of that essential unity. Maulana Rumi, the jem of the Sufi poets, perceived the same unity in Islam like the poet of Upanishads. In his words,

O love! You are my greatest stimulator, you are the
Medicine for all my ailments. Your are the true friend,
Philosopher and guide of my soul and you are like
Hakeem Jaalinus. You are the surest remedy for my
vanity and pride. My being has adored the Vedas and
Temples of Hindus, the Zendavesta of Parsis, the
Quran of the Muslims, the Enjeel (the Bible) of the Christians
And the Atishkada (fire-temple) of the Parsis.
There is no second God for me other than love.

This is the essence of Sufism.

Islamic Important Questions Answers

1. Meat Handled, Processed, Packed and Transported by Non-Muslims.

Allah In the name of , Most Compassionate, Most Merciful,

Question :   It is incorrect to say that Halal and lawfully slaughtered meat is rendered Haram simply due to the handling of a non-Muslim.

Answer :

According to my limited research, no book of Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) states that meat or any other product handled by a non-Muslim is rendered Haram. On the contrary, we find texts of classical jurists (fuqaha) asserting clearly that the handling of a non-Muslim does not render a Halal product Haram. One such example is provided below:

The author of the renowned Hanafi Fiqh Manual,Al-Hidaya states:
“If an individual [Muslim] sends his employee or servant who is a fire-worshipper [i.e. non-Muslim, non-Jew and non-Christian] to purchase some meat, and he says that I purchased this meat from a Jew, Christian or Muslim, then it will be permitted for the Muslim to consume of the meat. This is due to the fact that a non-Muslim’s word is accepted in transactions (mu’amalat)…” (Al-Hidaya 4/453)

In the above text, the meat was purchased and handled by a non-Muslim on behalf of a Muslim, but it was not rendered Haram. Rather, the non-Muslim servant’s claim that he had purchased the meat from a Muslim was also considered acceptable.

One must remember, however, that the permissibility here is of accepting the word of a non-Muslim employee or servant who knows how important Halal consumption is for his employer or master, and also there is no conflict of interest. This is different to the situation where there is ‘reasonable’ fear that a particular meat is possibly Haram — or when it is generally the case that meat labelled ‘Halal’ is dubious. In such cases, it would be one’s duty to make sure.

As such, it is important to ensure that the meat sold is actually Halal and the element of doubt is removed. However, if there is certainty that the animal had been slaughtered by a Muslim, and the meat was monitored and transported in such a manner that left no room for doubting that the animal may have been slaughtered in a un-Islamic way or that the Halal meat may have been mixed up with Haram meat, then this Halal meat will not be rendered Haram simply because it was handled and transported by a non-Muslim. Had this been the case, everything bar a few products would become Haram since they are all handled and packed by non-Muslims.
Nevertheless, the point that is clear from the above text of Al-Hidaya is that the handling, packaging and transporting of a non-Muslim does not render the meat Haram, after it is ensured that the animal was slaughtered in accordance with the rules of Shari’a, and that the Halal meat was not mixed up or contaminated with Haram meat.

SHAB - E - BARAAT

SHAB - E - BARAAT

The month of Shabaan is a most auspicious one.the Holy Prophet has referred to it as"MY MONTH" and during
this month,  He used to fast more than in any other month besides Ramadaan.

The 15th night of Shabaan is known as SHAB-e-BARAAT,which is next to Lailatul Qadir (27th night of Ramadaan) in auspiciousness. The Holy Prophet is reported to have said: "People are not aware of the excellence of the month of Shabaan, the month that comes between the months of Rajab and Ramadaan. In this month, the action of the people are presented (to ALLAH).I wish my actions to be presented whilst I am fasting."

On this night which begins from Magrib salaah Azan, the AMAL NAMA (record book) of a person containing all his deeds of the past year are closed and kept away in preservation till the day of resurrection and new Record books are started. Also,on this night, the various angels in charge of births, deaths, etc, are brieffed and are assigned and instructed by ALMIGHTY ALLAH their various duties-the names and number of people who are to die during the coming year, births and the dates and times they are to take place during the coming year.

DEAR MUSLIM BROTHER AND SISTERS - the bountiful ALLAH in HIS infinite mercy has provided us with such an auspicious night so that we may take advantage of it and repent for our sins, and thus obtain HIS grace and favour.it is for us to take full advantage of this night and during this night, offer special prayers and repent sincerely for our past sins and ask for HIS forgiveness.

Hazret Ali has said: "o people, spend the 15th night of shabaan in divine worship and keep fast on the 15th day of shabaan. on this auspicious night, ALLAH spreads HIS mercy on the earth and calls out: 'IS THERE ANY WHO SEEKS CURE FROM ILLNESS THAT I MAY CURE HIM? Thus HE calls the needy ,and grants them their needs, up till dawn."
(ibn majah)

Also on this night the doors of mercy and forgiveness are opened wide, and those who sincerely grieve over and repent for thier past sins and seek forgiveness from ALLAH, are pardoned and forgiven by the grace of ALLAH, the mercy.

Hazret ABU BAKR said:"on the night of Shabaan, ALLAH spreads HIS mercy on the earth and pardons all the sinners except the Polytheist, the Hypocrites and those who harbour ill-feeling towards their brethren." (baihaqi)
Further,a special point must also be made to visit the cemetery on this night and spend a long time there, reading and praying for the deceased.

Finally,on the 13th,14th,and 15th of this month one must fast not only to end one's AMAL NAMA with a good deed and begin the new AMAL NAMA with a good deed, but also because the Holy Prophethas said : "O

PEOPLE,LIGHTEN AND CLEANSE THY BIDIES BY WAY OF FASTING DURING SHABAAN,SO THAT IS SHALL BE EASY AND HELPFUL TO YOU FOR THE FASTING DURING RAMADAAN.WHO SO FASTS THREE DAYS DURING SHABAAN,ALL HIS PAST SINS ARE WIPED OFF."

"O ALLAH,GUIDES US TO THE RIGHT PATH AND GRANT US WISDOM TO DO WHAT THOU HAST ORDERED SO THAT WE MAY RECEIVE THY FAVOUR."

"aameen".

Permissibility of Celebrating Mawlid from Qur'an & Hadith

Permissibility of Celebrating Mawlid from Qur'an & Hadith!!.

Khak ho jaye adu jal kar magar hum to raza
Dum me jab tak dum hai zikr unka sunate jayenge.

All Praise is due to Allah SubHanuhu wa Ta'ala, Countless Durood and Salutations upon the best of creation Sayyaduna wa Habeebuna Qurrat Aeenuna Muhammadur Rasoolullah Sallallaho Alaihi wa Sallam.

In present era we are suffering sects and scholars who imposes verdicts of Shirk and Bid’at on those who celebrate Mawlid an-Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam with great enthusiasm and integrity and due to which the simple and straight peoples who are less in knowledge
of Qur’an and Hadith gets nervous whether they are following the TURHT or not.

Here is proof from QUR'AN al-Kareem and Sayings of Prophet Peace Be Upon Him which show beyond a shadow of a doubt that Celebrating Milad-un-Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi wa Sallam is absolutely Lawful.

:: The Holy Qur’an Says ::

Issa son of Maryam submitted, 'O Allah our Lord, 'sends down to us a tray of food from the heaven so that it may be an occasion of rejoicing for us, for the first and the last of us and a sign from You, and provide for us and you are the best of Providers. (Surah Al-Ma’idah, Verse 114)

The day when food is sent from skies is day of rejoicing (EID); then the day when soul of universe Peace be with him was born must be the rejoice for the day of rejoicing.

Look what ALLAH have said:

وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَ©ِرَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ
And publicize well the favors of your Lord. (Surah Al-Duha, Verse 11)

ALLAH himself commemorating Milad in Holy Qar’an as we do in our gatherings, Allah Says in the Holy Qur’an:

هُوَالَّذِي أَرْسَلَرَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَىوَدِينِ الْحَقِّلِيُظْهِرَهُ
عَلَىالدِّينِ كُلِّهِوَكَفَى بِاللَّهِشَهِيدًا

It is He Who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth that he may make it prevail over all other religions And Sufficient is Allah as witness.
(Surah Al-Fatha, Verse 28)

And remember when Issa son of Maryam, said, 'O children of Israel, I am Allah's Messenger to you, confirming the previous Book Tourat before me and conveying the glad news of the Messenger who will come after me, his name is Ahmad! ' But when Ahmed came to them with bright signs, they said, 'this is an open magic.' (Surah As-Saf, Verse 6)

Assuredly there has come to you a messenger from among yourselves, heavy upon him is your suffering; ardently desirous of your welfare, and to Muslims is most Kind and Merciful. (Surah Tauba, Verse 128)

Undoubtedly, Allah did a great favor to the Muslims that in them from among themselves sent a Messenger who recites unto them His signs and  purifies them and teaches them the Book and wisdom, and necessarily before that they were certainly in apparent error. (Surah Al-Imran, Section 17, Verse 164)

O people! There has come an admonition to you from your Lord, and healing of hearts, and guidance and a mercy for the believers. Say you, 'only Allah' grace and only His mercy, on it therefore let them rejoice. That is better than all their wealth.
(Surah Al-Yunus, Verse 7,58)

And this is what we do, we celebrate; we rejoice; we do spend our money to show gratitude to ALLAH Almighty on his greatest mercy and Blessing i.e. celebrations of Milad-un-Nabi because
Qur’an Says:

وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَإِلَّا رَحْمَ©ًلِّلْعَالَمِينَ

And We sent not you, but a mercy for all worlds. (Surah Al-Anbiya, Verse 107)

Let us have the opinions of Prophet (Peace be with him) who himself celebrated his Birthday. See Muslim Sharif:

عَنْ أَبِىقَتَادَ ©َ الأَنْصَارِىِّرضى اللهعنه أَنَّرَسُولَ

Abi Qatada Ansari (Allah be pleased with him) reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) was asked about fasting on Monday, whereupon he said: It is (the day) when I was born and revelation was sent down to me.

When Prophet (Peace be with him) is celebrating his birthday not
yearly but every Monday then how it can be Shirk or Bid’at?

Pupil of Imam Malik and the teacher of Imam Ahmed Bin Hanbal and Hafizul Hadith Abdul Razzak Abu Bakr Bin Hamman, the teacher of the teachers of Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim, in his Book "Musannaf", has narrated from Hadrat Jabir bin Abdullah Ansari and his son (RadiALLAHu Ta'ala Anhum), that he asked the Holy Messenger of ALLAH Ta'aala (Peace Be Upon Him)

Some people claim that the exact date of birth of the Prophet (SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam) is not known and hence there is little room for the celebration of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SallAllaho Alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallam) on 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal.

12 Rabi' al-Awwal is not only accepted as Milad Day from the classical and ncient scholars, it is also confirmed by the governments of the whole Islamic world. The holidays of almost 3 dozen Islamic countries, and except Iran ALL other ountries celebrate it on 12 Rabi' al-Awwal. Iran celebrates it on 17 Rabi' al-Awwal, but this is because they coincide it with the birth date of Imam Jafar Sadiq (Radi ALLAHu Ta'ala Anho).

"O Prophet of Allah (sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam)! My parents be sacrificed upon you, what did the Almighty Allah first create?" The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) replied: "Allah first created my Noor (Light) of His Noor. This Noor traveled about according to the Will of Allah. At that time, there was no Heaven, Hell, Lawh (Divine Tablet), Pen, Earth, Skies, Sun, Moon, Jinn or Human Beings. When He decided to create, He divided that Noor into four parts. From one part
He create  the Pen, from the second, the Lawh and from the third, he made the Arsh (Throne). He divided the fourth part into a further four parts. From one, He created those Angels who carry the Arsh, from the second, the Kursi (Divine hair) and from the third, He created the Angels. He again divided the remaining parts into a further four parts. From one, He created the skies. The second was used in creating the planets. From the third, Heaven and Earth were created. Once again, He divided the fourth part into a further four parts. From one part He created the power with which the believers see. From the second, He created in the hearts of the Believers the Noor of Marifat. From the third, He created Noor in the tongues of the Believers, so that they can read the Kalima of Tauheed".

Abu Lahab was an uncle to the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam). The event, which Imaam Qastalaani has referred to, is this. When a maid of Abu Lahab (Abdul 'Uzza) named Thuwaibah informed him of a son being born to his brother Abdul Laah (may ALLAH be pleased with him), he (Abu Lahab) was so delighted at herring this that he pointed his finger to her in a manner which signified her emancipation for carrying the good news to him But when the holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) declared his Prophet hood, he (Abu Lahab) did not accept him as a Prophet but became a most severe enemy to him and remained so all his life. In condemnation of him a whole Soorah of the Holy Qur’aan  descended.

After his death, people of Abu Lahab's household saw him in a dream, and asked him how he had fared. To this, Abu Lahab said that after departing from them he did not meet with any good but was being given water every Monday from the finger with which he had indicated the emancipation of Thuwaibah, and this water lessened his torment.

Allama Muhammad Bin Alawai Malki have stated in his work, Houl al-IHtifal Bi Zikri Mawlid an-Nabawi Ash-Sharif that Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam after announcing his prophet hood he did his Aqeeqa, not only this he also plunked on his mim’ber shareef and recited his Shajra, memorized the birth of Hadrat Adam and Status of Hadrat Ibrahim, Hadrat Esa, Hadrat Moosa Alaihimus Salam. He ordered few of his companions to recite his greatness; Many of Companions  offered poems in the greatness of Syyeduna Rasoolullah, He was
delighted hearing this and prayed for his companions. (Houl al iH’tifal Bi Zikri Mawlid an-Nabawi Ash-Sharif, Published in Lahore 1987)

O Rabi' al-Awwal! Your joys surpass thousands of 'Eids
All in the universe are rejoicing, except Shaytan!!

12 Rabi' al-Awwal is not only accepted as Milad Day from the classical and ancient scholars, it is also confirmed by the governments of the whole Islamic world. The holidays of almost 3 dozen Islamic countries, and except Iran ALL other countries celebrate it on 12 Rabi' al-Awwal. Iran celebrates it on 17 Rabi' al-Awwal, but this is because they coincide it with the birth date of Imam Jafar Sadiq (Radi ALLAHu Ta'ala Anho).

AS  AN  INTELLIGENT  CHILD

A'la Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu) was gifted by Allah the power of grasping knowledge that there was no need for him to study beyond the fourth Kitaab of his course under the tutorship of any of his teachers. He studied the remaining Kitaabs by himself and used to ask his teachers to test him.
Once, his teacher asked him, "Mia! Are you a Jinn or a human being? It takes me much time to teach a lesson, but it does not take you much time to learn the same lesson." A'la Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu) answered, "Praise be to Allah that I am a human."
When he was 8 years old, A'la Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu) wrote a Mas'ala concerning Fara'idh (Fards). When his father looked at the answer, he happily remarked, "If only some adult could answer in this manner."
At the age of 10, when he was studying the Kitaab, "I'lm-us- Thuboot," under the guidance of his father, he noticed a few objections and answers of his father on the side of the page. A'la Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu) studied this book carefully and wrote such a well- explained footnote that even the need for an objection was ruled out. His father came across his research on that objection. He was so delighted that he stood up and held the young A'la Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu) to his heart and said, "Ahmad Raza! You do not learn from me, but you teach me."
Professor Dr Ghulam Mustafa Khan, Head of Department: Urdu, Sindh University, Sindh (Pakistan) said: "Allamah Hazrat Ahmed Raza Khan is among the outstanding scholars. His deep learning, intelligence, vision and acumen, surpassed that of great contemporary thinkers, professors, renowned scholars and orientalist. Indeed, there is hardly any branch of learning that is foreign to him."

ASTONISHING  CHILDHOOD

At the age of 3, A'la Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu) was once standing outside the Raza Musjid in Bareilly Shareef. An "unknown" person, attired in an Arabian garb, approached him and spoke to him in the Arabic language. Those who were present and witnessed this incident heard the young A'la Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu) converse with the person in pure Arabic. They were surprised. The person who spoke to A'la Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu) was never seen again in Bareilly Shareef!
A Majzoob (one drowned in his love for Almighty Allah) by the name of Hadrat Basheeruddeen Sahib (radi Allahu anhu) used to live at the Akhoon Zada Musjid in Bareilly Shareef. He spoke harshly to anyone who visited him. A'la Hadrat (radi Allahu anhu) wished to meet this Majzoob. One night, at about 11 o'clock, he set off alone to meet him. He sat respectfully for about 15 minutes outside the Majzoob's house. After some time, the Majzoob became aware of him and asked, "Who are you to Mawlana Raza Ali Khan (radi Allahu anhu)." A'la Hadrat (radi Allahu anhu) replied that he was the grandson of Hadrat Raza Ali Khan (radi Allahu anhu). The Majzoob immediately embraced him and took him into his little room. He asked A'la Hadrat (radi Allahu anhu) if he had come for any specific matter, but A'la Hadrat (radi Allahu anhu) said that he had come to ask him to make Dua for him. On hearing this, the Majzoob, for approximately half an hour, made the following Dua: "May Allah have mercy on you, May Allah bless you."

A'la Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu)  UNIQUE MEMORY

Once A'la Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu) went to Pillibit Shareef. He stayed with Muhaddith-e-Surat, Hazrat Mawlana Wasi Ahmad Sahib (radi Allahu anhu). Before leaving for Bareilly Shareef, A'la Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu) requested to borrow a Kitaab called "Uqoodul Arya"from him. As there was only one copy of the book he gave A'la Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu) the book and said, "After studying the book, please return it to me as these are the only few kitaabs that I have for Fatawa writing."

A'la Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu) was supposed to depart from Pillibit Shareef on that night, but since he had been invited at another person's home, he stayed one more night in Pillibit Shareef. A'la Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu) spent the entire night studying the Kitaab, which consisted of numerous volumes.

The other morning, before leaving for the Railway Station to meet A'la Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu), Hazrat Muhaddith-e- Surat (radi Allahu anhu) found that the Kitaab that he had lent A'la Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu) had been returned. He thought that A'la Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu) was angry and displeased with him for asking him to return the Kitaab quickly. He immediately went to A'la Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu) and asked for pardon. A'la Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu) smiled and then said, "That is not the reason for returning the Kitaab. I stayed one more night, so I studied the book and, therefore, did not find the need to take it with me."

When Hazrat Muhaddith-e-Surat (radi Allahu anhu) heard this he was surprised and exclaimed, "You have studied this book in one night!" A'la Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu)replied, "INSHA-ALLAH, FOR THE NEXT 3 MONTHS I WILL NOT NEED TO LOOK AT THE BOOK TO FIND ANY STATEMENTS, AND AS FOR THE ESSENCE OF THE BOOK, INSHA-ALLAH, I WILL NOT FORGET IT IN MY LIFETIME." He then said, "THE BOOK DID NOT HAVE A TABLE OF CONTENTS. I HAVE DRAWN UP ONE FOR YOU."

A'la Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu) was intially not a Hafiz-ul-Quran. Once, someone wrote a letter to Sayyiduna A'la Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu) and addressed him as "Hafiz". When A'la Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu) saw this, he became depressed for he felt that he was not worthy of such a title. He immediately decided to become a Hafiz of the Holy Quran.

How did he become a Hafiz-ul-Quran? It has been stated that in the time period from Wudhu till the time of Jamaat, Hazrat Allamah Sadrush Shariat (radi Allahu anhu)would recite one Sipara. Sayyiduna A'la Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu) would listen to it and, thereafter, recite the same Sipara in the Taraweeh Salaah. HE CONTINUED THIS ROUTINE FOR 30 DAYS, AND BY THE END OF THE MONTH OF RAMADAAN, A'LA HAZRAT(RADI ALLAHU ANHU) BECAME A COMPLETE HAFIZ OF THE HOLY QURAN!
